Scuderia Toro Rosso STR14

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Upwash from the diffusor. To me how the air come of the bodywork and curls under the tail is also very beautifull to see.

It's not black magic, it's a rather simple effect from having a couple of almost vertical vanes strapped on either side of the crash structure, like every other team.

Indeed, I missed those. There is hardware doing it, then. Thanks PhilippM.

I think the most interesting bit there is you can see how the vortex generators just in front of those vertical diffuser/cs tabs work and help keep the upwash going to the rear wing.

The rearward segment of the underr-nose turning vanes is funny looking; it looks to me like a waiter's hand that is politely saying to the air to go "this way"

It seems to be more in line with the Ferrari design near the Y250 area.
