Last year's pole with a new "halo speedo" (still out of sync)

Lewis was a bit conservertive through turn 13 & 14. Probably because he knew he was already quite a few tenths up and the tyres were a bit "gone".

It's his Q2 lap

Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Ok, I did double check, it is in fact pole lap, but why in the flying f**k did the timer top left say 1:22.05 - his Q2 time (laptime simply skips 1s at the end) #-o #-o the video itself even has more transmittion artifacts comapred to what they released 12 months ago.

2019 Pirelli tyres working ranges:

and some observations:

Image

Here in Australia, we`ve got the C2, C3 and C4 Pirelli tyres so based on the above data could we say that:

1. those cars that are running harder the tyres could do a one-stop C4-C2 strategy (don`t think a C4-C3 would work)?
2. cars that are running softer on tyres has just a viable 2 stop strategy (C4-C3-C3 or a C4-C3-C4 one)?

Yeah, I know that teams are opting for the fastest race strategy based on their race simulations after FP3 but it`s kinda good to know what can but mostly can`t do tyre wise on a particular race weekend ...

Furthermore, it`ll be interesting to know how track temperature would influence a car which are running the tyres harder and a car running the tyres softer ...

Here we seems that on race day we`ll have normal to high temps, so who could benefit from that?

??? and that little troll Bernie is still kicking?

...wow, just been reading up on pulmonary embolism. It could have come from a leg blood clot developing during a long flight. Condolences to family he left behind, he was far too young.

 That's very clear and straightforward
I'm sure (some) teams or drivers will explain it all when they start whinging about tyres.

That comment about Bernie is a bit too mean spirited.

But the craziest part is according to Vettel's interview he spoke with Charlie the night before and even went on a track walk with him for a bit. And then he gets the news that he passed away. I don't know about anyone else but that would come as a massive shock. So sad. RIP Charlie.
