Leclerc's chances of finishing 4th would be way better if he stayed on track.
What the hell Ferrari?

Lewis crossed the white line on pit exit but there is no investigation yet.

Ferrari hanging Leclerc out to dry
Completely destroyed his race.

Leclerc sacrificed to get Vettel P3. That's a bit sad.

Ferrari has been known for their bad strategic calls so I wonder if they deliberately ended Leclerc or if this was just another --- up

Yeah this... simply astonished.
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

leclerc with 7 laps younger tires and 7 laps less fuel couldn't beat vettel's fastest lap. Imo was the right decision to swap them.

he wouldn't stand a chance against verstappen who was like 1.5s faster. Zero chance.

Verstappen was on softer tyres, that difference would decrease. Certainly worth the risk since Gasly wouldn't catch him anyway.

How to beat a competent teammate when you're Sebastian Vettel:
1 - Ask on the radio to switch positions even though you're not faster
2 - Have your team completely sacrifice his strategy to let you finish ahead

For me this race was another proof that Vettel is not even close to the level some people think he's in.

Not satisfied with letting Vettel finish ahead, Ferrari had to make sure they gifted Verstappen 4th position as well.
When did he ask? They asked him on the radio.

It's been proven time and time again on this track you can't defend against a car with fresher softer tires. The mistake ferrari did was to let leclerc so long out in the first stint, allowing verstappen to build a gap. Other than that, I don't see anything wrong with it.

Ferrari's call to let Vettel ahead of Leclerc may have been the correct one, it still doesn't feel good.

All the 1000th race promotion and it's a snoozefest.

I’ve not heard a team radio of Vettel asking to switch places. If there had been one, I think they would have let us listen to it.

Btw., I don’t understand the shock of people regarding Ferrari’s team orders. They’ve told that they would favor Vettel multiple times already.
