In other news Albon surely HAS to be promoted and soon?
Guess what. He was not the preferred option before finalizing him and Kvyat was the other best option!Marko is not a man of patience and who knows, there could be a repeat of 2016 in Barcelona where one STR driver was promoted to senior team at the expense of another being demoted to junior team.
How funny would that be. Albon hot-shotted into a RBR seat mid-season up against the last guy that got that treatment.

I did like Albon’s response to the ‘well it was a rookie mistake’ after his mistake in FP3. Level headed for a young guy.

If Ferrari can't win in Baku, they won't win a single race this season unless Mercedes or a Red Bull have mechanical problems.
As if RBR can challenge even ferrari..they're so slow

I do believe Ferrari could have kept both drivers ahead of Ves at the first pit stop without orders. Could have pitted VET first to cover Ves, and then lec would have been fine a lap later. They had the pace over RB.

In the end poor marketing/image and more points lost to Merc.

The current crop of rookies seem to be level headed. None of the "I'm the best and deserve to win yesterday" attitude we have seen with some. Those guys are generally doing other things now. Hopefully these new guys will be able to stick around and grow in to the next generation of stars.

Agreed Albon, Norris, Leclerc, Russell, Gasly, etc all seem to be schooled well on how to not be Primadonas.

TBH this I believe is why some have problems with Verstappen. All the talent in the world but he does have an ‘I’m entitled’ feel to him which is a shame as when you get past that he seems a nice guy.

and this "I'm entitled" attitude is confidence and not arrogance as many sees it

   I rarely see these kind of gems.

It doesn't matter how each individual sportsperson is in their personal life OR what anyone perceives, all it matters when it comes to public behavioral aspects while performing, is all that anyone would see it. You don't have to go beyond the qualifying to know his level headedness. He talks of "Gentleman's agreement" of not overtaking before the flying lap, but he was the first one to break the "Gentleman's agreement" of not moving under breaking in a DRS zone when the chasing car has opened DRS and speeding in excess of 330+. That is where the problems stem from.

No. Arrogance is belief that you're better than others. Most of the field aren't as good as others but they still behave as if they are. Thry behave as if they are entitled to win just by being there. That is arrogance.

These young guys are coming in with a "I'm good but I have stuff to learn" attitude and that is very refreshing. It is also the antithesis of arrogance.

and that's your opinion of him, because that's what you wanna see
if you know him better (maybe more personally) you might change your mind, but are you willing to?
