Intake Valve and Feliks' ideas

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

Largest in the World project engine .

This name: MULTIBOXER - its radial engine in horizontal position.
Tis is first cross head radial engine.
If made please using components Wartsila-Sulzer RTA96-C piston, cross head ,rod:

Engine 14 cylinders have 108,920 hp at 102 rpm .
My project engine have 45 cylinders end power ~~ 350. 000 hp
Tis is better ,so nuclear reactor in aircraft carrier ship.

My horizontal engine need angle transmission.
Its my project crossheads 90 deg angle transmission:

May by twin crossheads angle replace old "differential" ?? :smoking:

New differential:

I don't like noise of differential too...

Thanks Carlos, it try to present my projects to simplest manner. Some is not intuitive very too, and they require big patience in proper apprehension surely.

The Mathematical crossing short-circuit,
results of new easy differential :

Wow Felix, that kind of reminds me of hit and miss motors with rod exposed, sliding blocks, the inertia of the rocking combustion chamber would be earth shaking, somehow a counterforce would be required (a pair running in opposite directions).
Me personally, love the old poppet valve.
F1 virtually has the valve follow the piston all the way down, so it hardly gets in the way. Just valve stem, i imagine.
I have toyed with aspin valve designs for many years and the more the design improves, the more I admire the clunky old poppet.

Re: Intake Valve

to the original question. both the explation in the book and the professor are correct. (forgive me if someone already explained this i didnt feel like reading all the post, it kinda went on a valvetrain tangent). the the piston descending down the cylinder bore during the intake stroke creates a vacuum. thus a low pressure area realative to atmosphere (1bar, 14.7psi, whichever you like) at sea level. when the intake valve opens (somewhere around 20 degrees BTDC ,before top dead center, meaning the valve opens before the piston has reached the end of the exhaust stroke, inducing a scavanging effect, but thats a whole nother topic) atmospheric pressure (high pressure relative to the low pressure in the cylinder as the piston travels downward) pushes the air/fuel charge into the cylinder. either way you look at it both explanations are correct but technically speaking the engine DOES NOT SUCK the air in, rather it is pushed in by atmospheric pressure. high pressure (atmosphere) overtakes the low pressure (cylinder pressure or vacuum rather, as the piston descends.
another intersting note is that the intake valve usually closes somewhere around 30 degrees ABDC (after bottom dead center). the intake valve is actually still open for a brief period at the begining or the compression event. again a whole other topic.
bottom line air is pushed into the cylinder not sucked in by the intake event. this principle still holds true in any forced induction applications.
note: degree profiles listed are typical of an approx 350cu.in. iron block V8.

Yes , I like to :D :D

I find a beautiful array :

At last something happens .

In my oscillating dynamo I help cellular telephone IC Lm 2621.
(About oscillating dynamohttp://forums.autosport.com/showthread. ... genumber=5)

May be cellular telephone need advanced mechanic??

If put in cellular telephone mechanic automatic movement, using in mechanic clock, and miniature electric generator drive it, we don't need charge cellular telephone.Phone will be loaded on our result of traffic, obvious as there will be in our pocket

Some parts and principle work of automatic movement:

Perhaps, we must use e.g. 6 such systems, in order to can be charge phone goods .?
Same philosophy : no one big , many little.

May be Swiss precision it will astonish again . :D

My propose for yacht: On highest point of mast instead of flag, for example, box belongs to place with such array: 20 pcs X 20 pcs X 60 pcs systems (50 cm x 50cm x 30 cm). All 24000 system's. And I think, so enough for made electric energy for yacht. Without any fuel. :-" + gravitation

There is possible build closest house fiberglass mast too and we insert dynamo in this highest place. When wind blows this e.g 15 meter mast too have some movement.
Without barrier for birds , and no sound effect. And looks better

My propose new
Differential Gear. It's first design.

Image

Without any cogged gear, and if we will employ oiled lubrication solid ball bearing (closed), then work is possible without oil oiling .Polyurethane HD belt.
I am some, that such will work without that noises differential .

Regards Andrew :D

I think,so efficiency this dsign are better old version.
Weight too little.

Why I don't like spring:
Yes, discus about advantages and disadvantages of spring a re start
Some video, what spring of poped can make : #-o

http://www.engr.colostate.edu/high_spee ... 000fps.wmv

http://www.engr.colostate.edu/high_spee ... 000fps.wmv

http://www.engr.colostate.edu/high_spee ... 000fps.wmv

I thik, so pistons valve , and rod eliminate this "play sprig".
Mass too is better solutions.

Farthest development at one pivot stand differential animations, but this time about 180 degrees removed rod. Permutation is possible about 90 degrees definitely too.My be It's help if torque will not have a linear relationship But which setup will be better, as yet, I do not know
To develop simile Torsen torque biasing and traction management too.
