Mobil 1 ---> BP?

Hi, I read in another thread about a rumor that MClaren will be switching to BP lubricants. Is this true? Has Mobil 1 has lost it's great reputation?

It was just a rumor from what I understand, later denied I believe by Mclaren.

Mobil 1 has been with McLaren for as long as I remember, Senna days at least. That would be a big change. I will believ it when I see it.

I dont think it will happen.

But i think that BP will get into F1 ASAP, i think there could be a team waiting for them, and i think it could be Williams, as they could be loosing RBS as their title sponsor for 09 due to the UK Banks Bail Out Plan.

And i think that Williams as a Brittish Team would do well to have a large Brittish oil company behind them giving them a new imputus of cash and fuel.

IF BP gets with anyone it will probly be Honda, we even saw a Honda in a great yellow & green livery a couple years ago. Williams already has deals with Petrobras.

Seems like everything has changed, Petrobras headed to Honda, possible along wilth Honda. This opens a spot for BP at Williams.
