To mark the occasion Sebastian wears Bernd’s helmet design this weekend.

So, after years of design changes and his own designs, he now normally uses an old Schumacher design, a Lauda helmet at Monaco and now Schneider. Will he be invited now for the Mercedes party? 😂

Maybe Eddie Jordan is right, the swap with Hamilton is coming in 2021

All 3 of them have been better than 80% of the rest of the grid though. Only Kvyat, Hulk, Ricciardo, and Sainz are any good.

For me, the simpler the better. It’s a bit of a shame that PM sells the space on the Ferraris and helmets in their original logo colors instead of sticking with one overall contrasting tone. Even with a good and simple design, it gets cluttered.

Isnt it against the rules to change your helmet design more than once a season?

I think they all got a free pass for the Niki Lauda helmets. And besides, for both Hamilton and Vettel, their designs this weekend are not far off their normal helmets.

They are allowed 1 special for the year. They need to follow the same fundamental design. Vettel changed his helmet several times but they were not changes to the fundamental design

Well, Gasly and Kvyat will be rather hard to distinguish, I think. Albon's helmet remains good, and I (is it bc. I am Dutch?) like the, a bit blingy, special Spa version for Verstappen.

Sebastian Vettel’s 8th design of 2019 [for Spa] features gray triangles arranged like salt crystals with a 3D look, giving depth to the helmet surface. (Via @JMD_helmets)

I think they have based the colors of their helmets on the color of their country's flag, and coincidentally both France and Russia have the same colors.
