Can you answer me a question.

Did Car No 5 move before the lights went out as was clearly shown on the footage. Yes or No?
Why does no one talk about how Vettel made a recovery from the "jump start" and only lost a single place? That was some mighty reaction and skill to launch the car after the initial procedure and only lose one place to Bottas! All other recent jumpstarts lead to multiple places lost....
Yeah Vettel is soooo good. His rolling start has nothing to do with it.
he was standing when the lights turned off.

They are a British broadcaster. Is it really surprising they might favour/focus on a British driver? British broadcasters did it with Mansell, Hill, Button and all of them over the years.

Don't tell me Dutch TV doesn't massively favour Verstappen, or GermanTV Vettel, Aussie TV Ricciardo, or Italian TV Ferrari?
They sure do - no one denies it. The UK broadcasters however have much higher reach and the fact that they are supporting UK drivers is very often denied here.
It hardly their fault that their coverage is used widely. They are a British. company predominantly broadcasting to a British audience- who they receive all their funding from through subscription fees, let’s not forget. They have no responsibility whatsoever to viewers from other countries.

Well Paul DiResta and Martin Brundle certainly aren't pro Hamilton. Hill and Herbert are though. So I'd say it's a good mix.

Nope.
He was actually still moving but stopped afterwards, as has been shown in this thread already.

Mate, you can even see the rocking motion from stopping

Afterwards he got away just as fast as everyone else, only that Bottas was also close to jumping the start himself.

I can only give you the same advice i've given here several times already - use comma [,] and full stop [.] to go frame by frame on youtube, then you can verify your claims before making objectively wrong statements.

Brundle was always neutral on Coultard too. I think he takes his broadcasting pretty seriously.

Maybe not so much against Ham, but I find him very supportive of Seb and Max. Times when Max and Seb come together (China stands out) you can almost hear Brundle crying as it unfolded.

:) That rocking doesn't tell us much since it happens anytime when you brake and when you let the brakes go you will still have momentum. He panic braked then immediately went for it.

Vettel jump started and should have drive through penalty, period. It was a disgrace for FIA.

Here's one for ya'll conspiracists :D
Ferrari's sudden boost in performance has been revealed: active suspension, responding to the wind!
A glitch in the system, which is why it wasn't a false start at all

no but seriously, how is it still a discussion the car moved pretty clearly.

That's a roundabout way of saying that Bottas had a great start =P~ . I bet Hamilton and Leclerc didn't have one for fear of being "close to jumping it".

I would argue that an F1 car doesn't rock that hard just from breaking without stopping at such low speeds but the onboard shows that he did indeed come to a full stop, there's 5 frames of him being stationary, it even appears as if the tyres move backwards relative to the camera ... i'd say that if your tyres rotate backwards that you've lost all your momentum, no?

Image

He did not have an advantage from his early start but he also did not have a disadvantage either as he did not lose any more positions.

There's 11 frames from 'green' to him moving again, check the post i linked below, that's roughly what the others needed.

I agree with the latter part of the quote though.

Yes, the start was 'great' (and perfectly legal) and gave Bottas the race win - everyone else however had a 'normal' start, Bottas benefitted from Vettel's early start and there's no way in hell he reacted to the lights turning off... you can have a look at this post if you want, then you'll know what i mean:
