Nope.. but it's thinner (?) 7mm not 10mm. Also the front edge shape seems to be freer

No, but it is still in work with the teams input. It will likely become a PDC to suit the new safety implications of not having a tea tray and with the enhanced safety that is planned around the driver. Although this change will mainly be at the front. It is also getting thinner for weight reasons.

Wasn't the plank introduced to prevent flat bottomed cars from stalling? Since the 2021 cars won't be flat bottomed...why still have any kind of plank?

So, do you people think that the performance gap between the top 3 teams and the rest will remain, decrease or (for whatever reason) even increase in 2021?

They can always find several seconds a lap by switching tire suppliers.

But there should absolutely be plenty of scope for laptime improvement from a fresh aero regulation, specifically since the designers focused on closer racing while the teams will be focused on lap times. Look how the 2019 cars were expected to be 1.5s slower than the 2018 cars but are still setting lap and total race records.

I think they will be breaking lap records again in 2022, or 2023 at the latest.

Hi, I've been having a look at the flow comparison video posted recently:

Would it be possible to outline what simulation methods were used to create these results? The graph linked below suggests that a RANS based turbulence model was used, however, from my understanding, such methods wouldn't be capable of modelling the chaotic flow at the level shown in the video above.
