What gets me most, is how official F1 site is unable to provide who is under investigation about yellow flags. Is it a secret? How can they provide transparency of their work, if they are not telling the people what are they doing. They have the data, they even have video footage, but they refuse to show anything.
you need to look at the FIA site

There is still no data who is investigated.

Can we talk about the inconsistencies of safety car usage.

In Austin we had kmag directly in the firing line at the end of the Strait and all we got was double waved yellows.

Bottas pulls off in a section of the track that would require another driver to break the laws of physics to even potentially hit him and we get a full safety car.

It makes no sense whatsoever.
They probably could not get the car into neutral or whatever, which required a crane to get on track. As you said it would have highely unlikely that a race car would get into that area, let alone near the crane, but I think this is a standard procedure since the accident of Bianchi.

Though this is conjecture from me. I agree I also felt a SC was unnecessary.
I could understand a virtual safety car.

From what I saw it looks like the lifting vehicle was still fully behind the safety barrier when they picked Bottas car up.
There will be procedures demanding it to be a full safety car, even if the crane is on the outskirts of the track (let us remember that the crane involved in Bianchi's crash was also not the track). I am not saying it was needed for this situation, but I do think they were following protocol.

calm down bro, they need to analyse ALL the data and cameraviews from the VET/LEC incident... you think that can be done in 5 mins.
and after taht they need to see all the relevant data and cameraviews from the cars that used DRS under double waved yellow

Well people are the ones who finance the sport, via ticket sales, via pay per view and via sponsors and corporations which pay with money of the people. So yes, they should share the information with the people. I wonder how long would they last if noone would show up for the race, and no one would buy anything from them.

It is not a rocket science to post the list of driver names which are under investigation.

I agree. That's a lot to sort out, not to mention they have hear out Vettel and Leclerc. And they will have to review the Sainz case as well. There's a lot of work on the table for the stewards.

5secs penalty for Ham + 2pts ..
That's what it is, but I hate it they stole Sainz' first podium. Max had been taken of the podium twice before the ceremony.
Stellar drive, from 20th to 3rd ...

The Ferrari incident is the one who could have waited for the longest, since both of them are out and any possible penalties wont affect the final race result.

I agree, it is fairly questionable that it's not somehow not tied into the website's CMS.

But then again, look how long it takes the FIA to post information from a regular practice session.

I don't know how I feel about that motivation. So both had "the opportunity to avoid and mitigate the incident". Wouldn't that make both elligible for a penalty.

Just an extreme hyperbole: if 2 people were to shoot eachother simultanuously, I don't think a judge would say "they both had the opportunity to avoid and mitigate the incident, so no punishment".

They are not going to punish a Ferrari! They can do whatever they want
