A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter does not belong here.
oh God no, that's hideous! Is that how they try to keep Lewis, by painting it a bit red.
Come on, this just doesn't match...
It's nothing to do with Hamilton- the former Sky, now Ineos cycling team also has the same dark red on their uniforms, as have a few other of their sporting projects so they are obviously (sensibly) going for some synergy in their branding. It goes with the Silver and Black, but not so much with the turquoise/aquamarine.
Could the front wing on display be the actual one for W11? I do not remember the one in W10 having that sudden elevation towards the end of the front endplate, it was more gradual. Maybe I'm wrong...
The livery is essentially identical, the only real change is the petronas green stripes which apparently aren't airbrushed anymore, or at least are solid in colour without the fade...

Maybe they just didn't go really into details with the airbrush, if it was only to show the new sponsor

It's a show car - it probably travels the world purporting to be the 2019 car (the autosport show or sponsor events) and will continue to do so as the 2020 car. The front wing is not a "real" front wing. It might not even be carbon, could be high density foam or fibreglass.

I'm actually okay with the burgundy, the ugliness are those ugly solid black and turquoise stripes!
Just plain butt ugly! They will take a few race wins to grow on me.
