Honda Power Unit Hardware & Software

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

If you want 12 spec-1's, that's your decision as a team.
Doubt it. If the manufacturer retires it and won't manufacture/use it (for whatever reason) the team wouldn't be able to force it.

The Honda sounds significantly different this year. The most noticeable change they've had. On throttle it sounds very much like the Merc now. It has that high pitch snarl. The signature growl is still present but yes, much more guttural a few h on power now.
Hopefully Marti who is there in person can confirm this.

Precautionary or not after just the first day of testing (running) Honda changed the first engine of 2020.

That was on Albons car. They saw yesterday 11am in Sakura something strange on the electric side and changed immedialtly the engine. Nothing was found and the engine is now back in the car.

Correct, that was Albon’s red bull. And today it was FERRARI’S number 5 turn.
