Really struggling to match Bottas, the Finn is continuing to get better.
Shame we didn't have this kind of analysis for the first 2 days...
Did they do hotlaps on the fastest tyre on these days?
Considering it's testing, the running they did on those 2 days were as comparable as today. But read into what you choose at your peril.

This guy only pops up when Bottas has a good session and hides when Bottas is losing day in day out, race after race and championship after championship.
Like I said, did I miss any performance runs on the fastest tyre?

Bottas is showing to be the fastest at the moment on the fastest rubber. It could be just a case of running at different times, who knows but Lewis looks just as uncomfortable on the fastest rubber in this car as he did in last years car at this circuit.

What is Ferrari up to? Not a single race sim done, repeatedly sitting in the garage and then going out for 5 laps

From what I recall Lewis was quicker than Bottas on the long runs for the most part but was more inconsistent.

I’ve been asking that to myself as well. Very weird testing behavior until now. One would have assumed them to go out und pump in the laps after they lost time due to engine change, but they still spend more time in the garage than on track.

The FIA's 2021 ban on DAS is worded so specifically and carefully that it couldn't possibly have been drawn up quickly. It demonstrates that they were aware of Mercedes development path for a long time, knew there was no rule to stop it for the 2020 season and would prefer that teams didn't spend millions trying to develop it for 2021.

The other teams will probably want to protest the system in Australia and may well convince the stewards there that is illegal. It could well be banned for that race, appealed, used for 2 or 3 races then banned or then forgotten about... The FIA could well ban it on safety grounds after 2 or 3 races as has happened so often with these kinds of innovations...
Dutch F1 commentator Olav Mol is reporting that DAS will be banned for 2020 in Dutch outlets.
Then again, Olav frequently seems to have early-onset Alzheimer, and probably confuses 2020 and 2021.

Bottas 3.0 is looking on fire thus far, Lewis way off the pace and can't even match his C3 time.
HAM's 1:16.8 with C2 tyre on a 10-lap stint probably remains the fastest tyre and fuel adjusted lap time.

Just heard on F1 commentary where they mentioned that, Binotto admitted that they would be behind Mercedes in Melbourne!

[Edit] Binotto concedes Ferrari behind Mercedes and Red Bull in F1 testing

It doesn't always work like that though does it? Bottas has usually found a bigger leap than Hamilton when putting on the softest rubber, it's a trend I noticed last season.

Lewis was struggling more and more today the softer the compounds got, he couldn't match is C3 time on the C4 compound and barely improved on the C5's.

It's not just the times either, you could clearly see he was struggling in the car on the two softest compounds.

So how did that change in Abu Dhabi last year?

It is not always the case of course but Lewis seems more comfortable on the harder rubber.

AMUS saying renault is saying,

williams catched midfield, RP a bit ahead of other midfield, mcl, ren, torro rosso in one group and alfa haas williams in a group just behind

Here are the GPs, especially in the second half of last year where Lewis out qualified Bottas.

Race - Compound
---------------------
Germany - C4
Italy - C4
Singapore - C5
Russia - C4
Mexico - C4
Abu Dhabi - C5
