seidl has confirmed that McLaren won't develop there own DAS system and interesting to read it would take any team half the season to develop it anyway.

Back in 2007 this was called a Stepney Gate with DSQ and 100million fine, now its aparently called Usual bussiness practice and it is aparently approved and stimulated.

I understand that as a small team you buy an engine, a gearbox and maybe a part of suspension and a steering wheel. But the chasis should be designed and made by the constructor alone. And i dont have any problem if they copy somebody, but it is impossible to be so useless and inefective to literally duplicate another car and dare to call it your own if you know almost nothing came from you.

If i return to 2007, Mclaren was copying something from Ferrari, but still the two cars were like day and night in comparison, while RP, Haas and AT are copy and paste cars so somekind of blueprint transfer was needed to do that, or did they recruit chinese knockoff specialists to do the job?
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

McLaren have had some pretty awful pre-season tests in recent years, but this one was certainly not one of them. The leading midfield team completed their extensive programme with ease, displaying very strong reliability across the board.

They haven’t turned their attention to pure performance yet, but the long run data did make for very positive reading. Our numbers show they demonstrated the second best race pace of all this week, 0.6s/lap slower than Mercedes, and ahead of Haas and then Ferrari.

Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris developed a good feeling with the car as the test went on, and it’s believed they both feel it’s a very good step compared to last year’s car, which took one podium on the way to fourth in the constructors’ championship.

Trust me my friend.You are now refering to the Max Mosley Era when the FIA showed tremendous bias in favor of Ferrari. The whole Stepneygate was a set up for Mclaren to be punished since Max Mosley and Ron Dennis didn't see eye to eye. The fact that they didn't managed to find a single thing on the Mclaren car that was from Ferrari and punished the team based on a dossier that two mechanics shared and were ready to defect to Honda says a lot. Don't you find it strange that once Mclaren was excluded from the Constructors Championship they turned their sights on Hamilton and started a psychological war in order for him to lose his advantage? Remember the China Race where the Stage Guys didn't knew how to push Hamilton off the gravel suddenly? Or the reliable engine all year to suddenly reset two times in Brazil? I also cannot forget the two Williams and one Sauber that were found with illegal fuel temperature that basically gave them extra hp but they deemed that it didn't changed anything even though official papers proved it? Then the worst thing is Renault never getting penalized with the same penalty for stealing from Mclaren that year the same way Mclaren was accused.

I hope karma will make Max Mosley pay dearly for that one day.

I know for a fact that Racing point received 4 Chassis from Mercedes last November. Wheeled them in to the back door. Let’s bear in mind, that they test in the same wind tunnel on the weekends. Who knows what information is shared......

Sainz race sim was 1 s slower even more than 1 s in the beginning of his race sim to Hamilton so i dont know how they had calculated their 0.6 tenths i realy doubt that i think its more than 1 s slower than mercedes

Sainz race sim was 1 s slower even more than 1 s in the beginning of his race sim to Hamilton so i dont know how they had calculated their 0.6 tenths i realy doubt that i think its more than 1 s slower than mercedes
He was on the harder tyre though wasnt he?. So if you take into account the tyre delta that's possibly where they're getting that number.

Is this actually true? I don’t mind Racing Point copying the Mercedes car and actually believe that is an smart idea for a midfield team (something I would have expected Williams to do to get in the fight)... Copying the W10 won’t allow them to fight for the championship, but on a transition year with no major WCC aspirations and with a lot of resources that need to be deployed for the 2021 car is a very smart move... But, if they breached any regulations to make it happen, that’s a different story... I’m not sure if a chassis is one of the parts that can be purchased by another team.

Look at the 2 stin Ham and Sainz was on C2 and Ham is 1s faster even more in some laps
But you should also take a look at the C1 stint from Sainz, which is actually faster than his C2 stint... If they are using that one, the lap times are actually pretty impressive for Sainz.

The stin we must look is the 2 stin cause he and Ham had same tyre with same load fuel we dont know engine mapps maybe they turned down the engine and i think also that the mercedes is more near melborne config than mclaren who add some news parts during the 3 days like the front wing in the 3 day of testing so lets wait for the 2 test to see the real picture with some more new parts and more performance from maca

What we can say is that we predict the battle in Melbourne at the front is going to be tight. We can also see that the midfield have closed on the front and that there is some considerable midfield swing compared to last year’s competitive order.

Well, you can choose to look at any stint you want, but that wouldn’t make it right... Times are still very deceiving... We can only wait until Melbourne to know exactly how the grid will start shaping.
