German media suggesting the following is likely.

October 11 - Hockenheim (replacing Montreal, Liberty thinks the weather risk is too great)
October 18 - Imola
October 25 - Portimao
I like those 3 tracks in there. Add in 2 in Bahrain and 2 in Abu Dhabi and we have 17 races, one short of the 18 that Liberty wanted, one more than my ideal of 16. Ill take that.
They could hang around at Portimão. The weather would probably be OK even in November.

There’s still the rumour that Hanoi may be back on.

If Portamao was on the calendar, what about a race at Jerez or Valencia Ricardo Tormo?

If Hanoi was on, that track would be epic, but i doubt it as it will be too close to next years race. Theres a 6 month rule that needs to be adhered to. A race in Doha at the Losail track? I guess the balance is going to a place that is safe in terms of Grade 1A for FIA safety standards and safe enough that there's no spike in COVID numbers.

How on earth are cars going to overtake here lol. The entire circuit is made up of fast flowing corners. Even the right/left flip flop after arrabbiata 2 which is a slow speed corner on a MotoGP bike mind you, would easily be medium speed on a current F1 car..

At least @ Imola you can get a DRS zone after a slow corner (Rivazza 2) till you reach Tamburello, which would be feasible. @ Mugello you don't get any.

Exactly. It'll be a dull race with no overtaking and where pole will be essential. A fast Monaco, if you will.

Second lap is up tempo but not really pushing, still easy flat both Arrabbiata 1 and 2. Not sure what car but this year's likely have a decent bit more downforce.

Braking into T1 is quite short...passes will have to be mostly done before the braking zone.

Yes its been a while, but when it was, it was the San Marino GP, with the addition benefit that sponsor wise, anything goes because San Marino rules apply (a small mountain city with "special" rules, you can buy guns, Mussolini and Hitler beer there and no ban on tobacco sponsorship, at least last time I was there).

Looks like a an early to mid 2000s Ferrari to me. So more like, a lot more downforce :)

Edit: Could be 2009-10-11 too.

Quick sim lap times using Assetto Corsa with the official scanned Mugello or Imola and the 2017 F1 Ferrari seem to be around 1:15.

What about Istanbul Park ? One of my all-time favorite circuits. Wasn't it dropped because of low spectators? No problem these days.
