This is shades of 2013, I fully expect next week there will be very conservative limit set on tire pressure and chanber by Pirelli.
It would be a good time to trial a rule of minimum two or three pitstops during the race. :)

I'm gonna call it; these cars have too much downforce for the tires. Notice how most teams ran fairly small rear wings for Silverstone?
But no problems in hungary?
Silverstone brings quite a bit more load in the tires due to the amount of fast corners

Takeaways from this race week:

1) 3 wheels are good enough for Lewis to WIN.

2) Pirelli tires were gone for 3 cars so tires were not good for 1-stop. Next week we will see many 2 stops :)

3) If you remove supposed to be top 4 (2 Mercs and 2 rebulls), *all* the remaining 16 cars had very very similar race pace. So field is actually really tighten.

What luck?? 3 racers lost the tires. It is **un**luckiness not luckiness. lol.
It's hardly "unlucky" to push tyres to the limit instead of sensibly pitting!

Holy tyre smoke batman! That was some end to a Grand Prix...Personally hate Pirelli even more now as I had a few quid on a Merc 1-2, ah well, I don`t mind losing if it means we get "entertained" like that :)

Fair play. To be fair some might also call it bait, though. 😉

At least we’re keeping it civil! (Not sarcasm- I do mean that.) Another pretty harmonious race weekend on here.
Yeah, mea culpa, it was a bit baiting I suppose.

People were moaning about boredom so hopefully it woke them up to discuss the race and other penalties.

Really foolish of Mercedes not to box Lewis
They couldn't - Max would have stayed out, winning the race.

Making cars that handle the tyres is part of the job. Most cars didn't have tyre failures.

Easy enough to say from the comfort of an armchair, but they had 1 lap to make that decision, which at the time was a decision to hand the victory to RB, you cannot pit on the final lap.

Has a safety car ever crashed or spun off?
I don't think so, but Grand Prix cars have crashed into the safety and medical car.

Noted: last lap tire blow when you are 30 sec in front and almost losing the race is *luck*:

I dont think so, Hungary is also a high demand track. Cars certainly do not have "too much downforce", since they have less peak DF than they did last year. In quali most high speed corners were up to 10 kmh slower than last year.
