What a cock up from the team and Hamilton, more so the team for telling him to box.

So why are the idiotic team wanting him to box a lap early, bright idea that lads.

So is a stop and go with 10sec a total of about 35sec time loss?

Ten second stop go for Lewis! Might as well put him last!
He will have the PU set to as high as he can. I do think you’re right though.

It’s Mercedes’ own fault though. Bottas, Hamilton and the team. No hiding it.

With almost no chance to even finish in top 10, shouldn't Hamilton simply retire and save his PU and live another day? All cars are slippery and he has no chance to clear them.

It'll be very interesting to see how Hamilton goes whilst being in the traffic; We saw Bottas having issues being in the thick of the midfield trailing a whole bunch of cars, and if Mercedes are running more downforce than the rest of the field, slower top speeds on the straights...

There seems to be a lot against him winning this afternoon... but I cannot wait to see who else will take this win, as there is a lot of possibilities with the mid-field cars being so close performance wise!

It looked to me like there is wire netting behind the table in the marshall area where MAG stopped the car to protect the marshalls. That would stop them moving the car behind that barrier.
Agree. I don’t think they were able to move the car backwards.

If I was Merc I'd order an engine user to break down in the pitlane so another SC comes out.

Hamilton deserved it, everybody else didnt...
Giovanazzi deserved it too. They broke a very serious rule (pitstop under closed pitlane), that is a cut-and-dry penalty.

If I was him I’d see how quick he can make it through the field. If it’s not looking likely to finish in the points then sack it off.

Why are the team wanting him to box early when he needs to build as big a lead as possible?

Why do they have a table? What is this a picnic?
They are volunteers, not paid professionals.

My reference to the table was to show where the netting is. Regardless of the existence of the table, the existence of the netting (to protect the marshalls) might have made putting the car behind the barrier problematic. Especially if you want to keep marshalls there after the car was put there.

You can say that again.
