Never thought I'd hear the Italian national anthem being played this year, considering the first couple of races and Ferrari's performances this year... let alone hearing it at the Italian Grand Prix!

Who'd have thought we have that podium any time? Alpha Tauri, McLaren, Racing Point. That's going to be in pub quizzes for years to come.

10 seconds. Hamilton made up 22 seconds whilst working through the pack.
Ouch.

Still can't work out the penalty (level) it wasn't deliberate and Ham didn't gain from it so was a 32 sec penalty fair?
I think it's one that effectively written in to the rules. "Though shall not enter a closed pit lane".
Why the hell was a safety car activated instead of a virtual safety car?

If I were Merc I'd be having a few choice words with those numpties at race control.

Ah thats the set penalty for doing it? Makes sense then!

Nice to see a mix up. Worried for the remaining races overtaking wise seems engine modes nullified tactical use.

just when I thought this site couldn't get any more childish you absolutely topped it.
You didn't get pushed out of the way like an asshole, so you have no idea how frustrating it is :) I'm not cheering for him, so fvcking what.

Oooh, lets see the video. Love to see it.
Sadly I didn't save the replay. I'd rather forget it. He tried a round the outside move on the chicane config of Lime Rock Park at the first chicane; he was on the outside I gave him very fair space knowing who he was (not that I don't to others, but I was extra careful with him). But at the next left hander this time I was the one on the outside and he just slammed the throttle as if I wasn't even there and ran over me. But the point is, he knew I was there and was just being an asshole.

Great race from him... Managing to keep Bottas behind him in that last stint in what is a superior car! Nicely done by both Mclaren drivers

Italy is lucky that a savior ensured the national anthem is played, once again, against all odds!

Without a shadow of doubt TD hit mercedes hard. Not in quali but in race they're very much not flying past people as they used to. Bottas stuck behind lando for the entire race just hovering on ~1s gap and even hamilton had to work hard for most of those overtakes against cars multiple seconds slower than him. Would never have happened before TD. It seems they also decided on a mode too powerful for quali and then couldnt cool the car enough trough the race.
Were we watching the same race?

Mercedes was very fast in qual and even more so in the race. Their car was setup for downforce as they expected to be up front, not overtaking cars.

Did you not see Hamilton up front until the safety car? Utter dominance and he was driving slowly to save the car.
maybe Juzh is sitting on that committee that thought this engine mode ban up, now has to invent things to prove that it did what it was set out to do... :D

I thought that.
1. Wheel it back under vsc
2. If you weren't gona do that, red flag instead of safety car then red flag

What was Albon doing? why was he last?? Pathetic driving from him, should shunt him back to AT and Gasly to that seat
No. Alpine F1 should call Gasly and he should move on from RB. Getting back in that car will only do worse for him.

What was the gap ham to bot in the end? Considering ham lost 32 secs ish in the pit and had to work through the pack

That's the way at the end of the pit lane truly wasn't on, it just shows what a joke the FIA really is.

You would think there's a single button in the FIA control room that they push and everything automatically changes instantaneously.
