It was only the same as dear old Daddy telling Hamilton to pester Ron Dennis.
If you think the son of a poor working class guy has same opportunities of the son of a wealthy former f1 driver, you are sadly mistaken!
Yes you're right, the middle class father had less money than Verstappen.

Obviously all that money didn't count for nothing as he didn't get in the best team unlike Hamilton.
I thought Max was offered a Mercedes deal, but chose to fast track to F1 in a Toro Rosso. I guess in a way, thats the dumb decision.

That's correct, Merc wanted him to spend more time in junior series and either Max or his dad didn't want that.

It was a dumb decision imo.

In hindsight it was, does that make him any less of a driver though?

Who knows what could of happen. Hindsight is easy and at the moment the “flow” of Mercedes talent isn’t really flowing. Wehrlein, Ocon, Russell... Mercedes is careful with the promotion of their junior drivers and loyal to their current ones.
Good chance he wouldn’t be at one of the top three now.

It's here, because you were trying to say max is better than lewis in another thread. and Just_a_fan quoted youviewtopic.php?p=928785#p928785.

Like for like Verstappen did better, a fact that the stats will tell you.
IMO, Like many things with you, that argument bleed into this thread because you're usually arguing the same thing with multiple people across multiple threads. Thus people are going to use what you said in one thread against you in another.

Max Emilian Vs Lewis Carl.

Davidson is a last name. Fact. To have it as a first name is stupid. Therefore, DNF on Davidson. He’s at the sky pad anyway and veeerry biased to anyone that can race.

First name: Max = 3 letters. Lewis = 5 letters. 5 > 3. Therefore Hamilton wins.

This is much more fun than the slagging off that happens at times. =D>
