Nurburgring in the wet? Yes please! Though changeable would be more appreciated. =D>
Given our narrow settings window, rain and cold, this can end up being very difficult for McLaren.
Hoping to see some updates on the car!

Is that same as Diffuser or does it mean floor?
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

After a new nose (which presumably changes airflow patterns in the front of the car), a new floor makes sense to either take advantage of potential better sealing solutions, or just to offset any disadvantage that the new nose may have brought down the line in the rear of the car.

Whether they pair that floor with a new diffuser or not, depends on what their development plan is or how logistically cramped they are at the moment. I would say that the floor is way more important than the diffuser anyway because it is the floor that "prepares" how the airflow is going to get into the diffuser.

The bottom of the diffuser, but not the diffuser itself.

I’m a relatively freshman, I have followed mclaren from race to race since 2007. It is 2010 when I first heard them complaining about the wind. Since then it comes up as a problem every year.

The wind sensitivity issue feels more like a chassis problem than an aero one. We need some big points this weekend to extend our advantage for 3rd. Hopefully the new parts will help with the wind sensitivity though.

Whenever they talk about "issues" the description given to us the fans through the media are always over simplified. There is probably alot more to it than just "tail wind".

Oh yeah, I'm definitely aware of that. Even Seidl mentioned that it is a more complex problem than just tailwinds. My guess is that the car's lower mechanical grip, when compared to the competition, is being amplified by tailwinds. Seidl did say that the wind-related issues are on James Key's priority list, so fingers crossed.

I wish we heard from the technical directors more often.

It's more related to the specific way air travels around the car which can determine how prone it is to detachment.

Hmm, that makes sense. So is it possible that the air is detaching at the coke bottle section, given how aggressive it is? I just read the posts godlameroso posted on the MCL35 thread and if I'm understanding it correctly the high pressure field controlling the direction of the vortices at the rear of the car is being disturbed by crosswinds and tailwinds (which results in a loss of downforce).
