So not a full package yet. Combined with all the package can the new bargeboards give that small time that we miss to be the fastest midfield car?

I just think with missing q1 and q2 there isn’t enough to evaluate setup so reverted to the more tried and tested setup. Am sure if correlation is good the newer bargeboard will be better once dialled in

We don't know what the "full package" is. Just be on the lookout for new parts on the next couple of races. If there are no big obvious changes, then this is the full package.

I feel McLaren never seem to manage tyre usage in qualifying. Too many times we’ve been caught out by circumstances relating our first run on used softs. Either track temp on the second run changes, track gets slower, yellow/red flags etc.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

I wonder though. Can the new bargeboards once they work with the rest of the package give us that little time to be best of the rest? Considering RP and Renault are really close if we want to keep that 3rd place we got to deliver very soon.

Maybe that has happened but not on this occasion. They’ve done what they had to do

Both renault, one ferrari are ahead of us. Schocking... from race to race we step back...

Yes, lost it in S1... Also, both Carlos and Lando didn’t put great laps together in their final attempt, with several yellow mini sectors through the lap (when you would expect every mini sector to be green going from used to new tires).

Very surprised with Ferrari’s improvement though, that’s quiet the jump in performance.

So it’s still the slower speed corners where Renault has the edge on the MCL but it’s getting closer at least

I wouldn’t be too down yet on the car performance... Pretty unique qualifying session, with the teams only having on practice session, not a lot of time to review data and try setup changes, whomever brought a better setup out of the trailer was going to have an advantage.

Im not sure the drivers did a good job on that last run. I feel they could have been at least a tenth or two faster. On another note Ferrari has done something to improve that much.

I think Renault is using PU mode tricks. There is no other explanation for this gap.
