Carlos hasn’t been happy with his setup since the beginning... Lando’s pace was actually a match to RIC (on older soft tires) and faster than Perez before his engine issues started.101FlyingDutchman wrote:Ouch. That pace difference to the Renault and TracingPoint is painful to watch. The speed just isn’t there. Hopefully they get a good FP1 and FP2 to sort it out
Please stop with this juvenile remarks. It is what it is. They got their penalty and copying of cars is banned for 21 season. We all know what happened and we dont need to be reminded after every race when they beat Mclaren.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑11 Oct 2020, 15:52We got to hurry though to deliver as we lost the 3rd place for now. As for RP congratulations being 3rd with just copy pasting another ones car. Must be very proud. Shame I must say for F1.
The biggest issue is Renault. Reliability is simply not there when needed. The biggest irony is that engine manages to fail when they fight at the sharp end. Simply bad luck.
They'd argue that it was a pretty strong penalty for something they did that there WAS no rule against.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑11 Oct 2020, 15:59It is what it is but that doesn't mean it's right. Still a light penalty. That is my honest opinion. Well on to the next race.
Perhaps they would but they are now stained in the eyes of the fans and the spirit of competition.diffuser wrote: ↑11 Oct 2020, 16:03They'd argue that it was a pretty strong penalty for something they did that there WAS no rule against.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑11 Oct 2020, 15:59It is what it is but that doesn't mean it's right. Pretty sure their fans think it's brilliant. Morally it's kind of shitty, In reality it isn't any different than the Merc DAS system.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑11 Oct 2020, 16:06Perhaps they would but they are now stained in the eyes of the fans.diffuser wrote: ↑11 Oct 2020, 16:03They'd argue that it was a pretty strong penalty for something they did that there WAS no rule against.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑11 Oct 2020, 15:59It is what it is but that doesn't mean it's right. But the timing of failures is ironic.
When you are a team that are like McLaren is this year, running in the points week in week out, there is never a good time to have a PU failure.
