Haha that's a good one. Got to love a good ex-driver commentator!

It's amazing how Hamilton was able to put 5 seconds between himself and Max twice within 10 laps but the gap never exceeded 1.5 while Bottas was leading.
might be due to weight difference affecting the cars differently, maybe RB is better on full tanks, and remember they also tried to nurture those softs to be able to make the 1stop work, all 3 of them, Bottas, Ham and Max

on top of that, Max drives very maturely this season and he didn't really have any chance of overtaking Hamilton at the end, really struggled right after the restart and once the tires started to warm up and he was already 1,6-2sec behind Hamilton and Ricci wasn't getting close to him, he also went into conservation mode and just brought the car home with best result possible

that being said, Hamilton seems to be over all better at handling these tires than Bottas, especially once he's in the lead, it is basically game over for the rest, Bottas - not so much

It’s actually a well known expression in the UK.

Competetion has become such a joke, Merc can win with one hands tied, the british commentators are just annoying when they say what a tough race that was,

Yeah. I don’t understand it either actually. What’s it based on?

Albon / Red Bull pulling one of the "Alonso retirements"?
Ted said they discovered an issue with the power unit.

Sure. Obviously they didn't want Albon to damage it even more. I was willing to give Albon the benefit of the doubt til now, but not today. Kvyat cuts the corner and gives Albon the place, and then Albon goes and hits him instead of just keeping clear and driving off into the distance.

May be, just may be, Bottas is crap. I feel Verstappen would have got him today regardless of the DNF. Max is 14 points within him with all sorts of DNF's.

Rosbergs jacket looks like something he’s nicked from the wardrobe department of a Star Wars movie.

I believe this is the race that has decided his fate. He is gone at the end of the season. Only question is demoted or booted wholesale given Tsunoda’s in the picture.

Question: Drivers are complaining about safety car being too slow, more or less each time it is on track. Why FIA don't want to change the car to a bit faster? I know that this is "safety" car so it can't be too fast, but maybe something just by 5-10s faster on lap than currently used Mercedes could be better?

Full safety car might save Ricciardo with Perez on old tires now.
Honestly... wth... why is SC nec when the gap is right there and its actually FOR a car??!!
VSC or even double yellows is more than enough... masi fail again!

Bottas has had at least 2 DNFs/non-classifications, including today and the Silverstone puncture (P11).
