You think Albon would be P2 in the championship ? and you think Albon and Latifi would be 2 tenths off Lewis ?
Yes. In those Mercedes cars, anyone can put clean laps. Bottas would certainly struggle as much as Albon and Latifi to beat Max and Russell.
No one is saying Bottas would beat Max or Russell, not sure where you get that from ? Bottas would 100% be closer to Max that Albon is.
There is no basis to say Bottas would be 100% closer to Max. Who knows, he might be even farther away. Until things happens, you can speculate and speculations can't be source of truth.

He may also be quicker than Max. You cannot know for sure until Max gets a teammate outside of the redbull camp.
Against Ricciardo it wasnt a huge difference. And even then Riciardo isn't more than 0.1s ahead of Ocon when both are at their best.
For Sure!!

I don’t think so. He would likely be further off. You are underestimating what Max is doing. Year after year. He made Gasly look por as well.
You can't argue with people who are hell bent on proving Bottas is a good driver to make Hamilton look more glorious. It's their day job.
Well, he’s good enough for the most wealthy team to put in their car. You know, people who have all the data and get paid to know their stuff.

Will that .4 advantage be there tomorrow? Verstappen mentioned they made some compromises to improve tire life which likely cost them a few tenths in quali. I think he can beat Bottas tomorrow, Hamilton may be a tall ask, if the tires hold out better on the RBR he may have a shot. Glad Albon qualified well.

What we saw when Massa was at Williams was that Bottas and Massa were pretty evenly matched. Bottas is no Alonso, he's no Verstappen, he's a very good driver on the same level of prime Massa.
Bottas vs Massa head-to-head:

Qualifying:

39 (B) - 16 (M)

Finishes:

26 (B) - 23 (M)

Points:

407 (B) - 308 (M)

In sum, Bottas blew Massa away in qualifying and out-scored him by an average of 33 points per season.

I would describe that as clear advantage Bottas, but that’s me.

Hats off to them that they make such good cars that, even a worst driver on the grid can easily be second. Look what happened in 2018 when the car was on par with Ferrari and Red Bull, despite having fewer retirements than those who finished ahead of him. I am sure they have the data and know their stuff and I guess that's why he is on a yearly pay roll.

The Massa "wasn't the same after his accident" excuse doesn't hold much weight either. Bottas vs Massa was far removed from his 2009 accident. Bottas may well be the second best driver on the grid. Redbull may well have the fastest car at some tracks that gives Max a fighting chance against Bottas. We won't know until there is a common driver connecting both of them.

As long as Hamilton comfortably keeps winning and Bottas keep reargunning his seat is safe. Thanks to Rosberg.

I am underestimating what he is doing because I know what he was doing against Rici and Sainz. ! ;)

I blame 100% the team.

Vettel again beating Leclerc when Binotto is not around.

Has Vettel's performances all year been him sulking for being sacked?

Ah, the team sabotaged them argument. Yes, very logical. Sigh.

lol =D> Bottas is no way a bad driver. Saying he is the worst driver on the grid would suggest your Formula 1 knowledge is questionable. As I have said before, Bottas is somewhere between 6-10th in the current 20 driver lineup. No Hamilton fan is saying he's in the top 3 or 4.

so it was not the team sabotaging the car, but the driver the team?
