How was FP2 on Friday long runs guys?
Anything to suggest that Max can fight the Mercs?
With tires giving up lap times were incredibly close.
Race pace is a bit of an unknown. For example Merc hardly did any race-relevant setup work or long-run work in Friday practice.
Although Merc's qualifying pace was decent, I'm guessing they have once again dialed in more understeer than usual to protect the rear tires.
Red Bull has 2 cars to fight with tomorrow, which they have to be thrilled with. They also have an extra set of the Hard compound tires.
From AMuS:
"Red Bull hopes that the tires will become wild card. During the training sessions, they saved one more set of the Hards than Mercedes . . . . On the other hand, the world champions have had the more tire-friendly car over the distance in the last few races."
