Bottas had bad luck today but before that he got his ass handed to him by Russell. They allowed him to go longer but he did not do a lot with, it. On one lap he got back 3 seconds on Russell after the V safety car. Russell passed him on track, then proceeded to make another 2 overtakes and was chasing down Perez for the win. All very Lewis Hamilton like.

Bottas is gogint to sing the bad luck song no doubt, starting with his start, he will make an excuse, then another excuse for why Russell dropped in to 3 seconds back, and then harp on about his hard tires.

Fact is Bottas has been with Mercedes for 3 years. That is longer than Russell has been in F1. Russel just came into the car and schooled him. For all Hamilton says that Bottas should get more credit than he currently gets. No I am afraid not, Bottas is weak and that Mercedes is so much faster than their rivals that as Max said any F1 driver will win races and instantly be a title contender in that car.

Bottas will have no excuses here. Russell stopped twice more AND had a puncture and yet only a few seconds separated them.

That has nothing to do with Bottas being put the same 17 lap old hard tyres on for the last 20 laps, when Russel was on 2 compound 20 laps fresher tyres

Russell stopped twice(TWICE) more times with a puncture as well but yeah let’s blame Bottas on older tyres even though Bottas still managed to finish in the points. No deflection going on here at all.

Really gutted for him... On the cool down lap, they showed his face too while the team talked to him. You can really see the sadness in his eyes.

This will make him stronger though I think. He'll get many more chances.

Why did they not ask Racing Point questions like why is Perez and not Lance leaving.

With 2 Mercedes gone, Verstappen gone, Leclerc gone, and still Albon was no where near to win the race. He should have been the defacto next driver to win the race!
How are they gonna justify keeping Albon for 2021? With Perez doing a stellar job from LAST place in lap1 and then to WIN it, WOW!

This is quite embarrassing for Bottas, the fact Russell did not win is God sent for him.

When they pitted George second time under SC, I believe they should also have pitted Bottas together, instead they left him out on the same old hard tyres which he had on put on his car when they botched his tyres!
