Ive not heard much about graining from RB yey, maybes the pull rod suspension is there to counteract that.

Laptimes from Alonso, Raïkkonen and Hamilton on March 4th. Unfortunately no info on what tyres they were on, let alone fuel loads.

Removing the grooves effectively adds 4" of width per tyre. This is a bigger percentage change at the front at the rear, therefore moving the grip balance forwards.

Hamilton stopped on track with a failure.

BMW engineer then tried to stick his nose all around the car as they were offloading it from the truck and it got a bit heated apparently!

That's the reason why everybody is looking the nose of the Mclaren. What's that gadget¿?

As said, dont know tyres, fuel loads etc but it seems that over a stint, the ferrari and mclaren are faster than the Renault, even though Alonso set fastest time overall.

Would love to see more data, if LH can get some longer runs in today.....

And that kind of bulb??

Thef1.com reports that Mclaren is having a lot of problems today. Hamilton doesn't finish the stints and he went into the box to adjust the wing several times. They're still running the '08 rear wing and using the green painting another time! Problems for Mcca guys...

Id say this late into the pre season, they are having MAJOR problems. Not only is it not reliable, pace is bad as well. Do we finally get to see lewis with a dog of a car? That would be fun.

Alot of fuss over nothing?

we can see Ferrari are running the same thing.

Mclaren are using the end plates to push air around the tires, so i am gussing this is helping with that maybe linking up with those odd hubs of theres.

It's also where the mechanisme sits to adjust the wing.

Here's a clear pic of the temperature stickers on the Ferrari.

I stand corrected - thank you.

It must have been the 2004 BAR performance that came from nowhere... they didn't understand it and lost it again (the one I was thinking of - 'cos it was def talked about).
