do we know where we are compared to other teams? is Alpine still sandbagging some for race day. Any clue.....
Better than I feared, but this year will be tough.
With RBR / Mercedes out of reach, I fear that McLaren is too.

And the, there is Aston, Ferrari. So, best case I think Alpine can finish P4, worst case P7 with AT ahead, and it will be tight, mistakes or reliability issue will have a high cost

A good comparsion with to last year's car. Much different rear suspension, and smaller cover outlet.

I know they probably have more coming for the first race, like a new front wing but they don't look like they've done enough for a team that wants to be back on the front row.

I understand that this was an inbetween year. That they started moving resources to the 2022 car. Still what they've shown so far...isn't enough. The teams that finished ahead of them last year all have done more.

They switched focus and resources on 2022 car long time ago.
Part of Alonso contract is Mercedes like pre 2014 preparation.
They decided to take certain risk whit this year design, but it wasnt enough.

I noticed it was there. Hadn't noticed it was gone.....

The car looks lacking in non Alpine/Renault logos.

Did Alpine lose DP world? Or did the deal just expire?

Did it not go away when Renault reacquired the team from Genii?

Seems to have gone to (the possibly slightly lighter?) shade of matte blue to match the Grand Prix cars, as well as swapping the Alpine orange accents for red. Nice integrated look. :)

The F1 team with signage from Castrol, whereas the LMP and road cars still with Elf!? :o

One presumes they are wearing exactly the same colour, but it is a little hard to tell. :?:

The LMP cars numbers are much more attractive in the neat red box (ACO rule or otherwise, one for the F1 design team to consider). =D>

Official FOM Data from testing puts Alpine 5 fastest on both long runs and short runs, whit a very small gap to AM and Mclaren.
