I´m surprised Alonso finished so close to Ocon, did not see that developing over the race

I can only imagine the fuss that would be made if Seb in the Ferrari of 2017/18 was making the same number of mistakes as Max is currently.

He’s made a mistake in every race - the overtake in Bahrain (ok, somewhat understandable), in qualifying in both of the last two races and now the all important mistake that dropped him out of DRS range on Bottas (and gave Hamilton the run under DRS). I understand why - he’s fighting a fundamentally faster car in the Mercedes (despite what they keep insisting to make themselves look good) - but so was Seb in the Ferrari, often with no support from Kimi. It’s not easy and mistakes happen but this idea that, if given a sniff, Max is infallible, is proving to be bs.
what the hell are u talking about? mercedes was op here in the race I can’t see how you came to such conclusion about RB being faster

Shame that gremlin for Bottas denied us the chance to see if he could catch Verstappen or not.

But yeah, that last lap from Verstappen looked well outside track limits.I can’t imagine Mercedes won’t ask the stewards about that.

Directors notes said lap times would be deleted, so if he did go out I can't see how the +1 is valid.

GOAT was sublime today. Faster than both championship rivals, passed them on the tarmac.

On a side note, I *loved* blue flag jab from GOAT to antics of Redbull with Perez:)

Sad for Bottas, could have pressure Vestappen without that engine issue. He lost **3** seconds in one lab ;(

Also, deleted fast lab was such a joy :D

the story for bottas hasn't changed for 5th year running. he geta a few poles and ends up way behind on points. nothing new there. russell finished 11th on the grid, juat half tenth for q1 in that Williams!!! that says everything.
That is all that’s required of him though.

The team is functioning just fine. Despite all the driver changes, the pairing is probably still the best in the sport.
Exactly as long as Bottas is up there with Lewis that's all that matters to Mercedes and today he got pole which is even better for Bottas keeping his seat next year =D>
what a great drive there from bottas, from pole to third in the fastest car on the grid. =D>

Mercedes clearly quicker. Both cars were quicker than Max save for Bottas issue that cost him time.

Ferrari putting Sainz on the mediums was a huge mistake.
yup. I think he did good on the weekend, all things considered.

Normally I don´t vote for drivers that win a race while driving the best car but, today, I would vote for HAM because he made no mistakes, took advantage of VER´s mistake and passed him, and had a much better pace than Bottas and passed him.

Pretty poor race from VER, imho. Despite the great pass on the outside of HAM, he should have held the position over HAM. Even now his best lap was deleted because of track limits, as was the case in QLF

To be fair to Bottas with the pit stop the team handed him on a plate to Verstappen. He was looking close enough to have a go until he got that sensor issue.

Ah man. Verstappen just got told live by DiResta that his lap was deleted. Rough.

And then he messes up the fastest lap... silly the way they keep talking about him being an "all time great" - I'm sure he will be a multiple champion, but he's still young and making lots of mistakes that Lewis just never makes (albeit, I do still think he has a car advantage).

My DOTD was Alonso. His pace on the hards was blinding. He was on pace with Red Bull and Mercedes.

But seriously, no mention of T14 limits? On what basis is laptime deleted?
