Agree. The conflicting thing which kind of binds FIA to Pirelli's fate, and the point at which I do agree with you and Pirelli is that, is that it is shame that the standardized tire pressure monitoring system TPMS (in race) was pushed back with the 18 inch wheels.

I can imagine that Pirelli kind of is annoyed with the FIA for not giving them enough FP running, or in race pressure data, or tire tests, to be able to really conclude anything useful, so we are left with their useless statement and these new 'rules'/'actions'.

It smells to me like another case of "we just have to do something!!!" with a large emphasis on the "something"

Could be... didn't Isola complain about how hard it is to have tests at the factory that even remotely represent real life conditions/loads?
How much actual track time do they get with those tyres before finalizing the design?
They brought the tyres to a few races last year and every team had to run them for a few minutes but i honestly can't remember if there was a dedicated tyre test (like this year for 2022) and by the time they brought them to the very limited winter testing the tyres had to be "done" - now if there was something significantly wrong with the design they'd be extremely reluctant to change the construction mid season, not only because they'd have to admit failure but because of the possible implications for the pecking order, so just 'clamping down' on some alleged but not proven misuse by the teams is the easier way out.

This is a nice conversation but there's a topic for that, keep this out of the team thread please.

Agreed. There is a specific thread for tyres, so please discus this "problem" on that forum as it has nothing to do with RBR team

Agree - please move the discussion (to which thread?? - there are however 3 threads discussing tires, the last 2 race threads and now this one, and an old one about 2018?).

Please use the 2018-2020 tyre thread as these basically are the current tyres.

Very interesting press conference. Both drivers ultra confident, calm and professional. With a bit of mind games as it should be.

Looking good for the race!

Agreed, watched the whole lap with baited breath. Incredibly good sector 3 where the red tires seem to be too hot for everyone.
