I remember that there are fromers here saying that " after 3d race everyone who thinks merc is not in good condition will start crying", "this is mercedes and hamilton" etc.
Ham was saying he is exited to close competition, Wolf was saying same if I don't remember wrong. Now there is not a dominance like merc had last long years but they already started to show who they are which I already knew.
Ham is crying, wolf is crying and fia is backing them desperately.

Fastest pit stops this year. Kudos for this team. No wonder they're trying to slow them down.

Love Max's lid. He rarely does special helmets but when he does they're fantastic. That has to be his best Austria special yet

Funny that it’s basically a swap between Checo’s and Max’s normal colors! 🤣

They might want to edit their first sentence though! But that is an interesting move.

'Red Bull has announced its head of aerodynamics, Dan Fallows, is to join rivals Red Bull.'

No one is using the medium tire at all? It's better than the soft tire, and the soft tire almost works like a race tire here. I'm seeing about 16 laps vs 20 laps for the mediums. The mediums are more consistent than the softs. The hards are sloooooow, but they'll do practically the whole race. The soft and medium tires are easily half a second faster per lap.

S S M is a pretty quick strategy although it will be tricky to get 30 laps out of the mediums, S H is probably the default strat.

Alpine and alonso is. 14 laps in and 1:10:1 average. Looks like a very good tyre imho

Probably because everyone will need to qualify and start on the softs. They always want to one stop so that will mean switching to the hards.

Dan Fallows is leaving Red Bull. This is a big hit for Red Bull.

‘Where does it stop?’ Horner’s anger over F1 pitstop control.

“Formula 1’s about innovation and competition and seeing pitstops sub-2s is a remarkable feat.

Motor Racing Formula One World Championship Spanish Grand Prix Race Day Barcelona, Spain

“We should be encouraging it, not trying to control it, otherwise where does it stop?

“We’re going to be told which way to walk into the garage, where we should sit on the pitwall and which buttons we should press, I guess.”

Horner told SkySportsF1 that “It’s been an exciting element [of F1]”.

“Can a group of people change a wheel in less than two seconds? We’ve demonstrated that with the world records that we’ve achieved.

“But you’re going to dilute that and take that away now and control pitstops to make them pretty much the same time.

“It takes away the competitive element of it.”

Horner has said that “if you can’t be beaten, then obviously the most logical thing is for your competitors to try and slow you down and that’s obviously what’s happening here” – implying that title rival Mercedes has contributed to the FIA’s new directive.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has admitted that there had been “some question marks on some things” internally and said Mercedes had recently sought clarification from the FIA on “a safety mechanism” but stress it was a question related to technology and that he did not know if that influenced the FIA’s new rules.

"It stipulates that mechanics must react to each stage of the process in a time no sooner than 0.15s"
How would a mechanic know that is now 0.1 sec and he must wait another 0.05sec. I hope FIA-Mercedes are not using timing sensors to measure but expect mechanics to go by "feel" of time
