QotD2 (second Quote of the Day) - HAM about Alonso move: "At that speed that's so dangerous man".
From the mouth of the same man who didn't think his own move at Silverstone (at far greater speed) was dangerous.

What an hypocrat ? hamilton was complaining that it is so dangerous at this speed and what he did to verstappen in silverstone was then what ?.
Yep, certainly a bizarre thing to say.

A robust and fair defence by Alonso for sure. =D>

If not for Alonso's staunch (and illegal at the end there) defense, Ocon wouldn't have won. He played the perfect rear gunner.

Gutted for Hamilton, but I suspect he would've snatched +14 points with his eyes closed against Max, had he been offered it at the start of the day. He really needed 2 or 3 laps tops to win there in the end.
Defending against Lewis is illegal now?
That's what F1 has come to now for some. People need to know Mercedes still hasn't signed the whole field yet to be their "wingteam".
Yep....it was a bit of a joke how the Willis were passed....pure fly by on the main straigh :?

Hamilton looks exhausted. He’s actually been able to push for a whole race today.

Everyone saying Merc messed up not pitting Ham, no one mentioning where the Merc pit is. If even one car is faster out of their box than Ham, he is at the back anyway as he would not have an exit gap
This. Would have been last in the pit exit queue for sure.

Good recovery drive nonetheless. The Alonso battle was epic, and shows the old master still has it!

Nice trolling.

He went over to Hamilton's side at turn 4 to squeeze him and they rubbed wheels.

If you don't know, that corner is a left hander, and he went right to run Hamilton out of road. If not for Hamilton's vigilance, his race would've ended there. Both illegal and dirty from Alonso.

That's because racing hard for 70 laps is hard work. People forget, I think, that these machines are still hugely physical to drive wheel to wheel.

I agree. It was superb. Best duel of the year by far and so key to the result of the race. Edge of the seat stuff seeing them dance round each other so closely lap after lap.

Of course Hamilton is going to say that over the radio. He’s a seasoned pro and knows the stewards are listening.

Not at all. Stewards had no issue with it.

It was a robust and clever defence by a handy racer. =D>

"If not for Hamilton's vigilance, his race would've ended there." So...? It's motor racing. Alonso was at maximum defence as he should rightly be.

I’m glad it happened. It made for a wonderful race.
