I don't trust jarvis after the sh!t he pulled on Spies to bring Rossi back to yamaha; he's a shifty mf.

With that said, Yamaha is probably the best bike to be on for a newcomer.

His bike had the weirdest failures I've ever seen in top flight motorcycle racing. It coincided with Rossi back to Yamaha rumours at the time. I think Jarvis himself made no secret he wanted Rossi back, but the way he treated Spies was disgusting to say the least.

I wasn't expecting them to leave options for his return to Yamaha this season open to be honest.

Yes, I was thinking that you were pointing to the technical problems his bike had. One was for example a broken suspension bolt which lead to a bad crash.

It's completele tinfoil hat territory to think a factory like Yamaha or Jarvis would sabotage parts in their riders bike and risk their riders (or other riders) life and if gotten caught would risk the factory being suspended forever and court cases that would lead prison sentences.

I don't even think there's any motivation, they could just hire Rossi as Spies's contract ended at the end of 2012, and why wouldn't they hire Rossi, the biggest star and at that time was still fairly young.

It was more than just a broken bolt, it started much earlier than that.

Andrea Dovizioso is in talks with Petronas Yamaha SRT team for the reminder of this season and then full season next year

Aprilia wants Vinales on their race bike as soon as possible for this season already instead of Savadori. That probably won't be possible for British GP, but apparently there is a big chance that Maverick will make his Aprilia debut @ Aragon

Yes, I remember that season, he had multiple technical failures with the bike. But thinking those were intentional makes no sense especially since there's (to my knowledge) a single piece of proof of that happening, "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence" as someone once said, and here there's nothing with Yamaha and Jarvis everything to lose when they could just sign Rossi.

EDIT: Confirmation that Petronas Sepang Racing Team will be no more after this season. Team will continue, but without support from Petronas and if I understand correctly, without a support from Sepang circuit
