Talking about dreams.... We have Alpine dream weather coming up in SPA. Right now it looks like around 80% chance of rain for of the 3 days.

Wonder if those are tied to the exhaust issues...

What makes you think they're having deployment issues ?

He was on the radio talking to his engineer about it through Sector 3. I couldn't tell he had an issue just from looking but I can say the new helmet cam is cool. :D

Good Job by Ocon..... I think that Alonso is going with a lower DF setup than Ocon.

Split the setups... One more for dry, the other more for wet. Also Alonso was P4 in FP2 and Ocon spun.

Got it Thanks. May be off topic: is Russel went for full wet setup to get into P2? or Alpine missing something in their car. I thought Alonso come up good in wet.

They do have it a fairly big rear wing and Wolfe said so on his interview on sky.

I think Alonso had to push in the out lap to cross the line for his last attempt. He basically destroyed his tyres and had no grip. In Q1 he was ahead of Ocon, who got almost kicked out

Happens. But Alpine has to improve with strategy and giving their drivers better track position in Q

From moving F1 staff...

Vincent Hubert Deputy Engine Technical Director at Alpine is remaining at the team but his position is now the Head of Regulatory Matters - FIA Liaison & Technical Strategy.

Is that a new position that they've created?

There hasn't been a lot of movement at Alpine when compared with other teams. Think some of that is that they've been under the CAP. While teams like the big 3 are shedding, Newly purchased teams like Williams and AMR are building and B-Teams are inheriting A-Team employees.

According to AmUs, Lawrence Stroll offered Fernando Alonso a contract to be alongside Lance Stroll next year. Alonso didn’t accept it. It’s not clear why Aston Martin wanted to replace Vettel

Surely the obvious target if they were thinking that is Bottas? Better for all concerned too.
Speculation
