So after having it all turned up to 11 yesterday due to it needing to get through the weekend. Gets another new one to turn it up to 12 today!

i can't believe what a horrible death the Ferraris are dying in S3! So it'll most likely come down to Lewis vs Max at the end of the lap <eek>

(Valtteri on Mediums presumably)

Ferrari haven’t used brand new set of softs.
1st run on Old set of softs & 2nd run on New set of mediums

Ferrari is overheating the tyres. Come S3 they are in a horrible condition. They looked better on the Mediums. Could very well be that they won’t be competitive on the Softs.

Unless it completely falls away from him Hamilton surely has this in the bag. His fastest time was from his first runs and on his quali sim his 3rd sector was 7 tenths faster than anyone else.

Tin foil time, they are trying two different types of engines for 2020?

Shouldnt the highdownforce setup help them in this regard?

Just shows that no one is running 100%!

Will Ferrari try to use Mediums in Q2 and Hards after pit-stop during the race? RB and Mercedes can use softs in Q2

Yes they are overheating their tyres come S3. But we haven’t seen full quali run on those tyres from Ferrari yet. S1 & S2 is where they are still pretty strong

I think ferrari will do the opposite of Mercs & RB in this Quali/race. As their race pace is horrible, don’t see them on top in race unless anything dramatic.

will be interesting to see if Bottas will give it a go or not.

Yesterday morning he said that he would still go for "pole" (despite starting last anyway) - but no idea if that was before or after talking about it with the team

Are you meaning to say he was 7 tenths quicker than Bottas and Verstappen in the final sector during his last run in Practice 3 but didn't improve against his first run earlier in the session due to a poor S1/S2?

It seems he was only focusing on s3. It was purple there every time he was on a hotlap. Other sectors indeed just yellow mostly. Practice makes perfect.

That's exactly what I'm saying, I didn't see his 1st and 2nd sector so can't say what happened there but the timing doesn't lie in the 3rd sector.
