I'm well aware of the issue, but P1 started at 02:30 local time, and P2 6:30 local here, so I didn't feel the confidence that I can PM the links to everyone how would request :) And I was right, because I couldn't stay on :)
Beside both links worked to the end...I wake up just in time to see the end 5-6 minutes of both sessions ](*,)
It was a hard days's night :)

In future as always, just PM me for the links. I'll try to get prepared with more coffee :)

Actually anyone know who was doing the charts last year? Was it F1 Fanatic or a forum member? It would be great to see them again, I would like to see the last 30min of P2 for reasons indicated below.

What was telling was the first 20min of the final 30min before the rain started (pause) which was DRS only. In this period the Red Bulls where siginificantly, and consistantly faster (almost 1 sec per lap!). This was a time when all the top guys where doing long runs with little to no DRS as under race conditions. Given the cricumstances it is resonable to presume similar fuel loads and strategies at this point an ideal start of the race simulation after some fast qualifying laps.

I am hoping to see some data charts soon from F1 Fanatic for the practice session to confirm this.

My understanding is ARW is by driver activation. There is a signal that shows when the driver may use it; coming from race control. The driver chooses to use it or not. It deactivates as soon as he touches brakes. Race control get signal when it is used & will penalise anyone using it when not allowed or outside the permitted area.

I was watching timing and scoring and Fred was putting down faster times then the RB's in the last 20 minutes of FP2 I don't know about fuel load or traffic but some of you guys were watching a different practice. Or was that me? :-" :-?

No definitely not until close to the last 10mins when the RB's backed off a little and the rain had started. The RB's pitted not long after that.
Once we get a look at those line charts from the sessions that were around last year we should be able to tell.

OT: Better then post the link without the "http://" part or enclose in <code> tags so that the forum engine does not convert it to a functional link which can be identified by the search bots.

Thanks for the link, I hope it's even a competative race, those are impressive numbers for RB!

Furthermore in the final five minutes the FIA tried both 'DRS Disable' and 'DRS Enable' functions, essentially switching the system on and off centrally.
This is from Pipass though

But I don't like the idea RC to have a two way telemetry with the cars.

Also, the stewards approved allocating 54 extra dry weather tires due to fitting problems.

What must that mean? I mean what kind of tire fitting problems.

If I had to predict the pecking order this weekend?

1. Red Bull
2. Ferrari
3. McLaren
4. Mercedes

Beyond that it's still not quite clear. McLaren seem to have found performance from this new update, but I doubt it's put them near Red Bull or Ferrari over a race distance, Qualifying could be interesting though.
