I have already made this point earlier. However my thinking is still that this isn't a problem for Rosberg but it's a big problem for Hamilton as he doesn't have the components for it.RZS10 wrote:Hamilton supposedly had to do more running than planned and will share all data with Rosberg. So Rosberg lost some practice and will have to do more setup work tomorrow but Hamilton got additional mileage on his components - and if i'm not mistaken he's using his race powertrain, unlike Nico (who's engine was leaking).
So all talk about bad luck and possible team priorities is just a waste of time ... this was bad for both drivers.
as I mentioned in the Merc team thread, the rule tweak last year allows Lewis to replace every component as many times as he wants in a race weekend and worst case he starts last. So, come Spa, he will most likely start last but pick up 2 or 3 completely new engines, and be fine for the rest of the season. At Spa, he would still probably finish 5th or higher, and thus not loose to many points.Restomaniac wrote: However my thinking is still that this isn't a problem for Rosberg but it's a big problem for Hamilton as he doesn't have the components for it.
It's England, there's ALWAYS a chance of rain. I work about 5 mins from Silverstone and it was 30 degrees today. Weather forecast for Towcester says it's likely to rain both days, 11:00 Sat and 14:00 Sun. Take that with a pinch of salt, though.Shrieker wrote:Is there a possibility of rain tomorrow and sunday?
Thats an interesting thought actually.dans79 wrote:as I mentioned in the Merc team thread, the rule tweak last year allows Lewis to replace every component as many times as he wants in a race weekend and worst case he starts last. We had a brief shower at about 8am just south of the circuit. Not heavy but enough to mess up a qualifying run as it would likely affect only a couple of corners. If the weather stays as it is now, drivers will want a banker lap in each Q session just in case. These showers seem to come out of nowhere but at the moment.RicerDude wrote:In terms of weather today... Metoffice says 23*c air temp. Rain radar predicts no rain south of Birmingham so Silverstone should be fine.
I've heard that before and then Vettel went off six times + twice on other corners during overtake lap ('14?). Every single time on purpose and gaining advantage and they didn't do anything. Although he was reportedChrisDanger wrote:Charlie has spoken!
Well, you don't really need a steering wheel when you crashed off your front tires...F1NAC wrote:steering wheel fell off in ericsson crash![]()
