With the BBC/Sky deal, it looks likely that a lot of people will watch fewer races!
The only reason I am relieved to have SPEED show F1.

Crucially though Redmondo - the Williams dominance of the 90s was quite some time, all done by Newey except for Jacques Villeneuve's 97 car; though that too was building upon the winning Williamses of years gone past. And to top that off the car that toppled the Williams dominance was Adrian Newey again. So 92-99 was practically a Newey whitewash; where they won at least one title in all of those years; and sometimes two. The only year he didn't win a title in that time was 1995.

1994 they won the constructors IIRC; and wasn't 1994 more of the drivers making a hash of the title rather than Newey being off the pace? My memories of 1994 are hazy and I could be wrong

I am expecting Vettel and RBR to dominate in 2012 (injury not withstanding).
RB8 will continue to be the quickest car on track and the Renault engine superior fuel efficiency will again play into the hands of the RB team.

Ferrari or Mclaren will start with the strongest car & the other will be 2nd fastest of very close.

That's a bold statement. McLaren & Ferrari need a huge development leap to close the gap to RB, let alone have any dominance (or RB will need to get something badly wrong).

Ferrari dont really need to close any gap, they were the strongest car last season without EBD as Silverstone showed & the strongest car in the 2nd half of 2010 when they were winning in such diverse circuits like Monza & Singapore.

Anyways with new low noses & a new exhaust system I think RBR has to make a change. Frankly the cars have just been evolutions. Ferrari-Mclaren have been beaten easily 2 years in a ROW & will go absolutely all out.

Also Ferrari got the tyres dead right with the least degrading tyres among the TOP teams. Then Pirelli changed the rubber, made it more harder & less degrading,The HARD BECAME SUPER DUPER HARD,MEDIUM became like a HARD COMPOUND & SOFT like the MEDIUM & SUPERSOFT LIKE SOFT. As a result Ferrari struggles to get heat into their tyres having experiences more degraing & softer rubbers during testing.

S; strongest car last season without EBD? And do you mean 2nd half of 2010? You've kind of lost me in the 1st paragraph.

Also, I was musing that probably Red Bull's RB5 nose could be 2012 legal... though I'm not sure on that.

Newey seems to have found something for next year's car and has gone on record to say a lot that the RB8 will amaze everyone

ABSOLUTELY without EBD in SILVERSTONE they were the quickest. Anybody could see that.

Here is the stat for the last 9 races in 2010 -

ALONSO - 154 points.
VETTEL - 135 points.
WEBBER - 114 points.

So it is safe to say that when in the hands of a competenet driver Ferrari in the 2nd half of 2012 had quicker car than Red Bull.

BTW RB5 has a high nose not a low nose. It has a narrow nose which is not the same as a low nose. The nose had to completely different, more like how Brawn GP was.

I wasn't disagreeing with you. Just that you said "last season" they were strongest without EBD. and they won "Singapore and Monza" in 2011. Sorry to be pedantic, but this is a technical forum...

We're still in 2011 mate. I'm sorry to be so pedantic, but your posts are all over the place chronologically

Also low nose is in for 2014 is it not? There's sort of an interim lower-than-2011 nose regulation for 2012 AFAIK

2010 2nd half of the season with wins in Germany,Italy,Korea & Singapore.

2011 they were the strongest in British GP without EBD. I made a typo, not very hard to guess that isn't it??

No – low nose is nothing to do with aero changes and 2014, it's simply a safety thing that's being changed immediately.
