Hamilton & Massa are my favorite drivers in F1, they have both impressed & dissapointed me this year. I really like Massa and have for a while, unfortunatly he drives for the Devil's team so I cant root for him, except to beat the pants off KIMI.

Bravo for Felipe's excellent drive in Brazil, a beautiful home win is a decent consolation prize for not winning a WDC that he probly didnt deserve as much as LH. I'm happy he won his home GP and I wish it was 3 in a row for him if he didnt have to give it away last year.

+1.

I earlier (Months ago) said Massa was not a #1 quality driver. I was wrong.
He has a great race pace when he starts on pole. Still I think Kimi is better but can´t "find" the car. I was hoping LH to win the title but I must admit I felt sorry for Massa losing it that way. Now he said he wants to congratulate LH. That speaks nothing but good from him.

I will openly predict Massa to become the next DC... maybe even so in personality, as his recent change in attitude suggests... So very close, but still so far. As long as he is at Ferrari with Kimi, I think he'll always be playing second fiddle to the previous WDC.

Just my 2¢.

DC never put a whooping on Mika like Massa just did to KIMI. KIMI has to be demoralized at the moment, and will be even more so if he doesnt come back strong early on in 2009. I dont see KIMI being mentally strong enuff to fight back from such adversity, he'd probly shrug his shoulders, say something unintelligible and head for a drink. If KIMI gets whooped by Massa again I see him quiting F1 pretty soon after.

Actually DC did outclass Mika one year - 2001, but that year was so dismal for Mika he took a "sabatacal" at the end of the year, which we ALL knew was retirement.

But, I think Mika had planned on retireing that year, as such maybe his head wasn't totally committed to F1, so in terms of your point, you are right. DC never REALLY gave Mika a spanking, whereas Massa has just shown that he deserves a real chance for the title next year, not just Kimi. Ferrari now have to make sure they don't cock this situation up, like a certain silver team from woking did in 2007...

2009 will be an interesting season, and not just because of the regulation changes.

Massa will certainly come out swinging, but Kimi will have an edge based upon the vast amount of in-car testing time he'll put in this winter.

Ferrari is in a very good position, having two very different-styled drivers who at a given day can win a race. The trouble is, with no clear #1 driver, it's counterproductive for the team's hope of securing a WDC title, as we saw this year.

But I hope that Ferrari gets some of their bunglefarts sorted out, because they gave away 20 WDC points that should have been his. I'm putting that down to new racing director, and hopefully it never happens again.
