not much additional information except, that Head allways collided with the top engineer (theissen, Newey) whoever was in that role. last time with Sam Michaels. they made Michaels technical director and Head promised to step back and let him do the job. Sometimes, your boss just needs to learn that if he wants results, he needs to sit down, shut up, and give you what you need to do what you want.

The best bosses in my life have stepped back and said "Make it happen, just take what you need, and if something isn't available, I'll get it for you." If anything, it taught me to do the same when I am the boss...

I hear you loud and clear Conceptual, however, I imagine that the real problem comes when your boss has not only one helluva pedigree within the business, but also is a part owner and travels to the office by helicopter.

I am afraid that losing BMW and HP will symbolize the end of Williams as a top team.
