I´ve tried Spa in a reverse layout in iRacing. Man it´s like a completely different track and Eau Rouge just got a totally different flair that´s for sure ;)

Bruno Senna did a demo at Spa this weekend and went down Eau Rouge.

I'd imagine Eau Rouge becomes a driver corner; kinda like the Dengners in a way. A corner that rewards commitment, where good drivers can make a difference.

Agree, you can´t even see the corner when you turn in, just imagine that at 250km/h ;)

From sim experience I would say the setup would have to be completely different. In addition your laptimes would most likely be different too. This is mainly due to the difference between the speed you can carry into long straights and fast corners depending on which side you approach them from.

It certainly wouldn't reward drivers who got it wrong – support pit exit (now entrance) crashes all the way!

Specially knowing that Ham and Alonso are at the front of it.

Here is Bruno Senna with his phone videoing Eau Rouge in reverse. Great video, makes me long for decent helmet cameras even more.

Yea for sure, Take Pouhon and up the hill, if you down it´s extremely quick but going uphill will probably shave 1-2 seconds easy just there.

Another place which is uphill in the correct way is the backstraight. It´s slightly uphill so you might gain some time there compared to the proper way.

I don´t think it will equal itself out because of the different lengths of uphills and downhills but it would be interesting for sure.

I wonder if it would be quicker to just go straight ahead instead and land in the crest instead of going down into Eau Rouge ;)

Need a pretty solid car to do that though lol, and as we know, Petrov would not be up for that one ;)

Holy ---, the gradient on that makes it even worse in reverse!
