Probably by the loss of horse power of the coanda system

I think Mercedes have a chance to do a good race (3rd or 4th) this weekend.

Were those gaps at the bottom of the front wing pylons there before?

Great spot K.Ko, I would like to see if anything has been done to the lower part of the rear wing too.

I think this will be the race where we could see the use of DRD. long straights and relativity slow corners that should make it easier to setup compared to other tracks.

Larger Red Bull style cooling exit at the rear
Cooling slots by the driver on both sides
Front cameras are in the neutral part of the front wing
Under nose turning vanes are doubled/slitted

It's more a Malaysia-spec cooling package, not massive updates.

Yup, I don't see anything massive for lap time performance. The DRS would be nice on this track. Wonder if they will run it in practice.

The vane on the floor to direct the exhaust gasses towards the edge of the diffuser is back in place also. Wonder if they're planning on keeping the monkey seat for the weekend also...

Other than cooling, I wonder if the RedBull style cooling exit allows more air to flow to the beam wing. From previous designs the cover on A was more flat/straight. Now it's curved in which makes me wonder if this aids in more downforce generation in any way. The other lines B - D I was playing around with I'm no aerodynamic guru I have no idea whats going on with airflow there...
