Teams tend to run these only in friday practice sessions and rmeove from Saturday onmwards.funkyfreddy wrote:I notice the mirrors seem to still have the lenses for the tyre cameras in that pic that they used during testing. Do you think mclaren will actually use the cameras during the races or are they just using the same spec mirror casings to reduce production costs?
I imagine they'd have a small insert to put in there. However, if the weight wasn't too great, I don't see the problem with keeping the cameras in place as it will give them an accurate reading of the tyres during the race which can be no bad thing.funkyfreddy wrote:I notice the mirrors seem to still have the lenses for the tyre cameras in that pic that they used during testing. I think that is the camera mount without camera.chasefreak wrote:for the adjustable wing
Whatever that thing is actually for, it certainly is a beautifully engineered thing!imightbewrong wrote:

This isn't part of the adjustable wing, it's the camera mount or just part of the airflow splitter, I'm not sure where the camera is now on Mclaren if it's front wing or if it's still on the engine cover. The front wing elements are not allowed to be full length from the end plates to the front wing mount, so the adjustable wing controls are in the end plate.chasefreak wrote:

You'd think that the stewards wouldn't be operating in isolation from the FIA and Charlie etc. I'm sure all will be fine.astracrazy wrote:I really hope that the fin is legal, when is it tomoz we find out? I read in an article about this that its up to the stewards at the race? Surely its Charlie who decides and they would have checked with him before they done it?
edit: no its today? lol
