If George doesn’t drop 10 car lengths behind the safety car then he should be fine
He did, numerous times
Ok that’s fair enough, I don’t have the ability to re-watch any footage right now so I can’t fully comment on it. I’ll just have to wait for the news like the rest of us

Ah so you did- thank you.

Yea Russell dropped back a few times but on the ‘break testing’ incident I don’t think he was more than 10 car lengths behind the safety car.

Anyway that’s my view from a glance- will just have to wait for the stewards who have all the data to decide

Max intentionally driving into Russell caused less danger than Norris trying to pass Piastri cleanly...what was norris thinking

Verstappen
[Russell accelerates]
That’s more than 10 car lengths also, there.

Lambiase
Okay, we will check that as well, thank you.

Lambiase
Yeah, that incident with Russell now being shown on the feeds Max.
So, pretty blatant. Just don’t fall for the gamesmanship, okay? Thank you.

Lambiase
Safety Car through the pit lane, Max.

Verstappen
[Russell accelerates]
Again, more than 10 car lengths, what is he doing?

Lambiase
Thank you.

Verstappen
Way more than 10, look at this!

Lambiase
Yes, thank you Max. We’ll have a look. Cheers mate.
Ah, this is final lap, Max. Well done for keeping your head for the moment.
Okay Max, so Safety Car is coming in and you will stay out and finish the race on the main straight.

Not sure if that will share, but its Russell's time behind the Safety car.

Looks like the confusion was the yellow flag delta.

I have to ask though… what is yellow flag delta? You have a delta under VSC only. No a localised yellow or travelling behind the safety car, which sets the pace

They are given a safety car delta so they don’t just bomb it round the track to catch up the safety car pack. Not sure if that’s relevant to this situation though

Redbull better hope Verstappen doesn't get penalized because you can't overtake during the safety car and that' bumps Antonelli to a potential 1st and Piastri to 2nd

To cut down on these frivolous protests (most of which are seemingly initiated by RBR), there should be a penalty for losing the protest. Either time added for the driver or grid penalty for the next event. Will cut down these type of antics pretty quickly I would imagine.
