As Hamilton crossed the line it showed him faster by .05
Then it changed to show him faster by .29
I think they were counting sector times of 1st HAM run, the one deleted..he was .066 (?) slower at S2 compared to a 1:04.5xx, which he set before

- You're saying Renault's engine disadvantage is over one second at aero/engine track?
- compared to Ferrari hard to say Vettel wasted Q3, Raikkonen wasted Q2 and tyres, Marchionne should be proud of himself, his only contribution

- Rosberg had to cram FP2 and FP3 into 1 hour on Saturday, no chance to work efficiently on either
- Haryanto quicker than Wehrlein, perhaps both will drive for Merc soon  ?

Luffield is an "allowed corner". One of the FIA's little inconsistencies.

Coulthard, in commentary, was saying that running wide at Luffield isn't really beneficial which is why it's not disallowed.
He needs to share that info with the drivers because everybody was going there
I think you run wide there because the traction is tricky. Most drivers were running wide there with a bit of opposite lock applied because of this. Hence why it's slower.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

I guess not everyone got the info that time was deleted, what a mess...

Some of the guys went wide by mistake, a number of guys where aiming for it (Hamilton, Verstappen among others).

he was .05 faster than his first run
he was 0.29 faster than Rosberg

the time wasn't deleted from the computer or the system was confused

it was the same in the other sectors

Lol i was confused by this as well. I thought he gained 0.3 through the last sector, which is huge for just one sector. Turns out the system was messed up then.

What a shame about the deleted time of Alonso, we would have started P7 with Vettel's penalty, now only P9

Between Red Bull and Ferrari, the gap is 6 tenths !!! Some more grunt, hopefully in Suzuka, for that Renault PU and Ferrari will have to start staring the RB gear box consistently. Aaahhhh... Ferrari, a second and half behind Mercedes. They were supposed to be JUST A TENTH OR TWO behind Mercedes, at the winter testing. With the kind of progress McLaren Honda is making, I am certain they will push Ferrari further down next year.

Max seems to have started to understand the car better for that one lap pace. He is putting Ric under a lot of pressure. Certainly, those who felt it was harsh on Kvyat when he was demoted, should now realize the worth of that decision. I hope he jumps ahead of Nico tomorrow and keep him behind.

I think that Suzuka is a bit of a wait, honestly RBR will be ahead consistently very soon.
Max is worth many more than what more he delivers...
