why is that? IS Vettel clearly faster and better? No IMOandrew wrote:Webber needs to learn that he is the number 2 driver in the team and accept that Vettel correctly gets preference where new parts are concerned.
and he is not when the luck goes Webbo's wayandrew wrote:Well yes he is - when the luck goes his way.
He wouldn't have made any any overtakes at all were it not for the safety car and his pace before then was mediocre and over a second a lap slower than the leading two cars despite being in clear air.andrew wrote:His recovery drive today was excellent.
Crashed was too strong a word but Alonso and Kubica both dropped out from ahead of him, and a couple of drivers went wide whilst he was cruising through making the pass just a case of driving past them on the racing line - from memory I think it was Liuzzi, who ran over the grass, and Hulkenburg who ran wide allowing Vettel to drive past him on the next straight. Didn't Petrov or one of the other drivers stuff up a corner too and let him past?andrew wrote:Several cars crashed out? Who?
A Torro Rosso brokedown and de la Rosa retired but I think Vettel was past him by then.
Strange how you declare every race where Vettel finishes poorly as a dull race. But yes he did pass more cars than most and a couple of the passes were actually pretty good, but he also had some clumsy moves and had relatively poor pace until the safety car period, making me wonder if he was particularly trying. He had open track ahead of him, should have been lighting up the timing screens and not be trundling around a second a lap slower than Hamilton let alone Webber.andrew wrote:Still passed a lot more cars than most and it was a good recovery drive in a dull "race".
Strange - I have personally found this year to be much more exciting than last year with more close racing throughout the field.andrew wrote:I would say that all the races this year have been dull, regardless of the winner so no strangness at all.
