If not, it would've been a good race to watch if the RB's were at the start next to the Ferrari's that would lead to some good racing. I was slightly disappointing with Ferrari's pace. Maybe hiding a trick?

You're thinking several corners ahead at each corner you're at so that kind of mess up would have likely put his focus completely off to continue.

Nope. It is all in the tyres. Mercedes smoother into corners and on the power earlier according Johnny Herbert. Ferrari much more powerful in second acceleration phase so they still will be a big threat at the start and we know that this track is hard to overtake on so it is not over by a long shot.

Almost a half second off Mercedes pace, and that only gets worse as the laps stack up. My hypothesis is if Ferrari cant stay out, their problem may not be Mercedes, but the midfielders who trail in their tow. KMag had a OK Quali session, and if Red Bull can work their way up to Ferarri, it may put them into a danger zone.

This race looks like it might unfold to be somewhat interesting, let's find out!
