I couldn't get live timing to work at all. :x

Didn't Webber headbutt Lewis (it was a mistake, has to be said) some time near the end of the race last year?

Really? I used my mobile app (the one by Soft Pauer, not by FOM) and it worked marvelously through the whole thing. In fact things happened earlier on the timing app. ie Q3 started sooner on the app etc. It's steep, but it's definitely a good buy if you have an iPad or an iPhone/iPod Touch. I do hope I'm not violating forum rules by saying this.

Vettel and Red Bull are the red hot favourites for both championships.

adam cooper reports that Webber also wasn't on KERS. For "reasons known to the team." Could they be using it maybe to run some sort of overrun for the blown diffuser?

I am not sure if redbull did or did not. We need to wait till later to see.
Vettel's fastest lap wasn't his last, so it's not clear if the last one was the one without kers or if it was the first one.

IIRC the first Q3 lap for Vettel also didn't use KERS

Thanks for the news. :P

Heidfeld and Barrichello disappointed. Both were beaten by their younger and less experienced teammates, although Barrichello spun out so it's not normal.
Either way though, the Renault was touted as a top car but has lacked the speed all weekend.

Maybe they dont have KERS.... I know they should have it but maybe they threw it out.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Other F1 drivers would kill to drive the "tin can" aka RB7.

Williams IMO will see another big crash of their stock on Monday if we go by their qualifying pace. They closed €19.9 on Friday but could go down to between €17 to €14.

That'd liven up the start of tomorrow then!

I don't see why they would deliberately not use KERS if it was installed. Doesn't that just screw it all up, as they were saying on the BBC. Regarding brake balance and such, let alone the penalty of carrying around dead weight like that.

Potentially something interesting there, then. Judging by comments like this:

I wasn't expecting last years pole time to be defeated with these tyres/cars, but Pirelli have proved me wrong. Even if alot of the time was down to the DRS....Albert Park has a new record, again.

The Sauber was quicker than either Ferrari in s3. Definitly a problem somewhere on their car.

Well I don't think the car is as bad as that. Petrov isn't the quickest driver around here and he is 3 tenth behind Alonso.
So I conclude that R31 is quickest in Melbourne than the F150th, at least in quali...
