repair under parc fermee rules
They can fix broken stuff but not change specs right. so if a wing is busted you have to put the same spec wing back on.

Have you got any information that Hamilton has an other Spa spec. front wing?
Front wing and tyres, I believe, are not part of parc ferme. Though i could be wrong on the front wing. But seeing as they could change Lewis's front wing, then yeah.

No it does not. The video shows Hamilton following the curve of the track (equidistant from the left hand side at all times), whereas Maldonado moves from right to left absolutely miles off the racing line (which is to hug the right hand side).

On board will confirm it I'm sure, but there's absolutely no way anyone can spin this as Lewis hitting the other car or making a swipe at him.
This is not true. In the video a couple pages back, Hamilton clearly gets further from the outside edge of the track. I don't think Hamilton was trying to ram Maldonado, but show the Venezuelan he won't be bullied. Alas, it all went wrong.
I thought so too, but I think it's just the camera angle. Having watched it many times Hamilton is either equidistant or drifts ever so slightly right. Certainly he does not turn towards Maldonado.

Pastor is also clearly MILES from the racing line.

My fisrt question is... Why Maldonado has to run so close alongside hamilton having a wide track?
Maldonado doesnt need the racing line since the session was finish for him.

The racing line is actually to the right at that point, setting up for the entry into Eau Rouge. Hence the dry line being over there.

So now we know what will be that thread about for several pages... ;)
To change the subject a bit I have a question. Are there some confirmed explanations about what happened to Shumacher? Was it the wheelnut not fastened properly?

I don't get that. Where is Sector 2/3 speed trap? And why are Lewis/Webber so down in S3?

Apologies...I made the corrections....
Generally I don't care about what people say. I have to be clear with myself. When everything goes well, people celebrate you, when you make mistakes people criticize you.

Are those speed traps from the fastest lap?
If yes it is quite clear why Hamilton lost so much time in S1.

Well done for Senna. I just don't see him having the pure talent to be a major player in F1, but he hss surely gotten off to a good start in his new ride.

Maldonado needs a race ban.

Completely unsportmanlike. he should appologize to Formula 1.

Cutting off another car to damage his car so he does not participate in Q3 is one of the most evil things i have seen in F1.

Maldonado was not on any racing line. Neither was he going around a corner.

He purposely rode along Lewis waiting for a chance to cut across without it being obvious.
Clearly he was pissed at being schooled in the chicane.

Anyway, got to say redbull definitely best car in all conditions.
Vettel really at one with this car.
Hamilton squezing out every drop and bouncing the car over the track, creating the sparks. And if we use Flavio's law, more sparks = more speed.
So after creating all those sparks and still half a second off; got to hand it to redbull and their newfound engine mappings; which renault is using as well.
For Sure!!

Pseudo-Senna in a fake Lotus did very well today ... I never thought I'd ever see that!

Yep, very impressive opening, hopefully we'll see a lot more of him now!
