NOSE CAMERA WINGLETS - CHINA
Image

The new front wing for Hamilton forced the team to relocate the nose camera winglets higher and backwards on the nose cone .Probably the airflow behind the additional upper flap extension would be effected negatively by the former position of the winglets .

ASYMMETRIC EXHAUSTS - CHINA
RACE

The team used asymmetric exhausts for the race but for free practice sessions a symmetric configuration was tested .

There a small vertical fence to decrease the overall size of the right exhaust’s outlet and minimize the turbulence created by the hot air exit

The lower wishbone’s joints to the car undergone several changes since Launch time . Moreover the lower wishbone in China was thicker close to its joint with the car .

Is it my eyesight and tricks of of perspective, or does the degree of curavture vary in those body work pics? Some seem tighter than others. The China pic seems flatter and much less sculptured

The China pic also seems to show a boot on the lower wishbones.

I have another good picture from Spain that i am planning to post which clearly show that Mc Laren had changed again the rear suspension's lower wishbone joints !! So it is not your eyesight or tricks of perspective

How many sets of paddles are there on the back of that steering wheel?
And anybody know what they are all for? i think i can see 5, Obviously clutch and gears account for 2, what are the other 3 for?

Mac use six paddles, two for the clutch and two for the gearshift, the differing pairs of gearshift paddles are to access different engine maps. So that one pair are on a softer map to improve traction and the other pair are on a more aggressive map for maximum acceleration when traction is not an issue.

Many teams use this multiple set up (Ferrari, Renault, Brawn, Force India)…

scarbs, it looks like there are 5 pairs, ie 10 paddles, you seem to be saying that there are only 3 pairs

Looking at the picture again, i can definitely see three sets of paddles, i am not sure if the wide items at the top and bottom are paddles at all.
